Microgrants Program

The Stamford Parks Community Partnership (SPCP) is excited to announce its inaugural Microgrant Program to support community-led projects in and around Stamford, CT, parks and public spaces. Funds are available to support a variety of projects, including, but not limited to:

  • Improvement in parks, playgrounds, community gardens, waterfronts, and other public spaces (i.e. signage, beautification)

  • Organizing community clean-ups

  • Community building events

The SPCP Microgrant Program intends to invest $20,000 in Stamford's green spaces in 2025. Applicants can submit a request of up to $1,500. 

The deadline for submission is March 24, 2025.

  • April-May 2025: Grants Awarded / Applicants Notified

  • December 31, 2025: All grant funds spent down

  • January 31, 2026: Grant reports due

  • Applications will be scored on the following criteria:

    • ELIGIBILITY: Verification of 501(c)3 nonprofit status - or ability to secure a fiscal sponsor. Guidance on this will be covered in our info webinar. Project must occur in its entirety in Stamford, CT.

    • ALIGNMENT: Explanation of how your project aligns with the City of Stamford's Parks Strategic Plan and will further SPCP's mission to enhance and protect Stamford's parks and open spaces

    • FEASIBILITY: Ability to spend down funds/complete project before 12/31/2025 

    • IMPACT: Demonstrate a clear need for funding, with a priority focus on underserved parks and/or communities.
